This is my 2nd Vizio. The other one is a 37” in my bedroom that is 10 years+ and still going strong. I got this at BJs for $599 which is a good deal IMO. Excellent and immersive picture. It works with all the smart assistants so I can say “hey google, turn on the tv or lower the volume.” Also cool casting features built in so whatever I’m watching on my phone can be casted right to the TV.Now the downsides. This is heavier than I expected weighing in at nearly 70 pounds. Just make sure you have some strong friends if you’re going to hang this on the wall. The speakers are not loud or clear enough and I’ll be investing in a sound bar. The TV doesn’t have all smart apps built in and there is not option to download more apps. It doesn’t have HBOMax, Sling and many others are missing. Yes, you can start these on your phone and then cast to the TV, but I prefer it all to be integrated on the TV.Overall a nice buy for a 70” TV albeit imperfect.
Positive: Very bug TV with good pixel qualityNegative: SO many issues! I have had this TV for 2 months and the amount of times that the visuals didn’t match the audio is too much - I had to turn the TV on and off to get it to reboot and work correctly. Also - the screen sharing (cast) from phones seems so work intermittently - sometimes it decided to just show a blank black screen. I plug it out and plug it in again (sometimes even twice) to get the screen share to work again.More so, it’s a “smart TV” with apps, but very limited. HBO isn’t on here and neither is Spotify.Overall: too many issues for such an expensive TV. I expected more, especially when I just got it and it’s brand new
Honestly, I’m really disappointed. The TV won’t connect to my wifi even though everything else is doing just fine. I contacted my wifi service provider spent 3 hours on the phone making sure it wasn’t a Wi-Fi issue. Then I called Amazon to try to get it fixed and they were no help. Then I tried calling the manufacturer and they couldn’t figure it out either. We went through every single step in trying to reboot the system to connect to the Wi-Fi. The manufacturer said a technician would call me between four and five days and I have not heard from them since. I want a refund on the TV or a new one to replace it. Extremely disappointing.
