Some apps don't always work. Sometimes have to choose an app multiple times before it actually works, others never do. Picture and sound are satisfactory.
Picture quality is fine for the price.Speakers aren’t great and don’t sound good.FireTV interface is very slow. The hardware in the TV is old even though it’s a 2020 model. A Fire Stick 4K from 2018 (sometimes on sale for $25) is magnitudes faster. Ok if the TV will only be used occasionally, but there is significant lag, slow loading times for apps, and dropped frames. Sometimes if you hit the pause button it’ll take a second for it to process.Remote control is nice that it has voice search and shortcut buttons for apps like Netflix.
I was on the fence regarding buying a TV for my kitchen for a year. I kept going back and forth between a 24" Fire TV and a separate 24" TV and a Fire Stick 4K or Roku. But, ultimately decided on this product due to it going on sale for under $100 with a free Echo Dot. I slightly regret that decision, despite it only being a kitchen TV. As another person said, the interface is slow and doesn't like to open the apps smoothly on the first try. Also, I paired the TV with my kitchen Echo but I can't get it to respond to voice commands at all. I have another TV with a Fire Stick and a Roku TV that both respond perfectly to commands through Alexa, but this Fire TV won't even so much as turn on/off by voice command. The remote is nice, and the picture is not bad at all, but the software hiccups are a serious bummer.
